Theme: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

For Owen's 1st Birthday the Very Hungry Caterpillar was a perfect theme. I made the food from the book out of modeling clay then painted them and used a straw to push a hole through - lots of bright colours !

Games we had were throwing a ball through the caterpillar's mouth and the big apple piñata which was a re-fashioned cardboard box covered in a green plastic table cloth.

The decorations and favours were all based on the book and were loved by everyone.
